Located in the Sangre de Cristo mountains of New Mexico, at 7,000 feet, with 36.4072° N latitude, comparable to the Kush origins of cannabis, Taos has optimal air quality, altitude, latitude, UV, growing season, climate, topography and geology for cannabis. Taos Kush Institute is dedicated to development of cannabis cultivars in this high plains ecosystem, in recognition of the ecosystem that brought cannabis to humanity.
